Milton Edge Competitive REP Volleyball
Milton Edge Competitive Rep Volleyball Teams are for youth volleyball athletes who wish to learn skills as well as to compete at the top level for their age group in Ontario. Our tryouts are open to everyone interested in playing rep/club volleyball. If you are interested in playing for one of our teams, please contact us at info@miltonedge.com.
Milton Edge teams generally practice 2 times per week, from October to May. (12u teams practice once per week, with additional skills training in the early part of the season). Practices are up to 2 hours in length, and run weekday evenings. Players will also have opportunities throughout the season to work on individual skills with the Technical Director and/or guest coaches.
Tournaments are run by the Ontario Volleyball Association, and teams generally compete in 1-2 events per month, culminating in the Provincial Championships in April. Some of our teams may opt to also compete at the National Championships in May.
Athletes selected to play for MYVC competitive teams (Milton Edge) will be expected to demonstrate the highest level of commitment by attending all training sessions, practices and tournaments and by giving maximum effort.
You DO NOT have to have any previous club volleyball experience to try out for a Milton Edge team. Coachability, athleticism, eagerness to learn, and a desire to work hard and have fun — these are the most important assets our athletes possess!
