Milton Youth Volleyball Club provides beach volleyball training at Milton’s 6 beautiful sand courts at the Milton Sports Centre. Run by 2019 Season Beach Director, coach Haiqi “Chi” Liu – the mission is to create a fun and competitive volleyball experience for athletes that have a desire to play beach volleyball competitively, for athletes that already play OVA beach and are committed to take their play to the next level, and for young athletes new to volleyball and the sand to help grow a love for volleyball.
Spikes on the Beach Volleyball Camp –Registration opening soon– July 6th to 10th, 2020. Run in past by Milton Youth Beach Volleyball Club, this Half Day one week camp was the competitive volleyball launching point for many Milton Rep athletes. Endorsed by the Ontario Volleyball Association for Grades 2-8 (graduating year 2020), boys and girls of all ability levels (skill development, intermediate, and competitive/rep) will have fun developing their skills in the sand.
Elite Beach Training – Registration opening soon– The Elite program is designed for experienced players, 12u-18u. Athletes will train two times a week for the beach season (end of May to mid August, 2020). Athletes do not need to compete in the OVA beach tour to be part of this program. Each session is led by our experienced professional beach volleyball head coaches, along with select guest coaches.
Elite Plus Beach Training – Registration opening soon– The Elite program is designed for experienced players, 14u-18u. Athletes will train three times a week for the beach season (end of May to mid August, 2020). Athletes do not need to compete in the OVA beach tour to be part of this program. Each session is led by our experienced professional beach volleyball head coaches, along with select guest coaches.
Premier Beach Training – Registration opening soon– The Premier program is for athletes 14u-18u who have committed to training with a partner for the OVA Beach Tour, Ontario Beach Championships and Volleyball Canada Beach Nationals. Premier athletes and their partners will train with an emphasis on tournament preparation, game-play transition and strategy. Athletes will train three times a week for the beach season (end of May to mid August, 2020). Milton Edge’s 2020 Beach Director Haiqi “Chi” Liu (Volleyball Canada, Senior Women’s National Team Coach and past program coordinator for Canadian National Beach Volleyball Team) along with our experienced professional beach volleyball coaches will lead training, along with select guest coaches.
*NEW* Halton House League on the Beach – Registration opening soon– This evening weekly House League is a continuation of our popular Fall, Winter and Spring indoor House League. Junior (Grade 5/6), Intermediate (Grade 7/8) and Senior (Grade 8-12) athletes will get to play matches in the sand. Each session is comprised of a skills development and a game play portion.
Spikes on the Beach – Registration opening soon– This evening weekly development program, is for girls and boys ages 7-11 years old. Athletes have a blast while learning, developing and improving their volleyball skills playing in the sand. Excellent skills development, with low beach coach to athlete ratio.
Parents & Players Beach – Registration opening soon– Parents of athletes in Milton Edge’s Elite, Elite Plus, Premier Beach Training programs or Spikes on the Beach programs will play 4-on-4 beach volleyball, on the courts next to their athletes beach training. Co-ed teams will mix and be formed each week.
Milton Edge OVA Satellite Beach Tournaments 2020 – (Register through the OVA) Milton Edge Volleyball Club is hosting 5 OVA Satellite Beach Tournaments this season at our Milton Edge home courts, the Milton Sports Centre, beach courts. We host to give our athletes and surrounding communities athletes the opportunity to compete locally, and to encourage new beach athletes who have only competed in indoor volleyball a familiar venue for them to try their first beach tournament. It also falls under Milton Edge’s goal to provide high level opportunities for athletes to compete in the OVA.
