Suhayl Muhtaseb

Head Coach 18U Girls Force

Suhayl’s intro to volleyball started overseas in Kuwait in Grade 8 when he played for his school’s junior varsity team. He followed that up with a couple of more years of JV ball before moving to Canada with his family in 1990 where he continued playing at high school and university. After graduation, he continued to play in competitive leagues throughout the GTA for a few more years and did not get back into it again until his daughter, Maya, expressed interest and started to fall in love with the game herself. He followed his daughter in 2018 when she made the Milton Edge U13G team where he started the season as a parent and halfway through became an AC for her team. He followed that in 2019 where he was an AC for both the U13G Platinum team and U13G Diamond team. Also in 2019, he joined the Milton Edge Board team as the club’s VP and also completed his NCCP Volleyball Level 1 Development Workshop and will be going through the evaluation process this year to gain his Level 1 Indoor Volleyball Coaching Certification.
